3 of a Kind poker hand

A 3 of a Kind is one step down from a Straight and one up from 2 pair.
Cards to make a 3 of a Kind: 5, 5, 5, 7, K (3 cards of the same number value and any 2 other un-matching cards). If 2 players have 3 of a Kind it's the player with the highest value 3 of a Kind that wins.
If both players using community cards have the same 3 of a Kind then it will be the highest valued Kicker that determines the winner.

e.g.1
Player 1: 5, 5, 5, 7, K
Player 2: 8, 8, 8, 2, 3

Player 2 wins as their 3 of a Kind 8's is higher value that the 3 of a Kind 5's

e.g.2
Player 1: 5, 5, 5, 7, K
Player 2: 5, 5, 5, 7, 9

Player 1 wins as in this case the highest Kicker comes into play and they have a King which beats player 2's 9.

Three of a Kind poker hand is also known as "Trips".

The odds of making a 3 of a Kind are 46 : 1
